Landscape Challenges - 2007 UMass/Amherst Community Tree Conference for arborists, tree wardens, municipal managers and planners, and landscape designers and architects.
The 2007 one-day Massachusetts Community Tree Confernce is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27.
Keynote speaker is David Marren (experienced arborist and lawyer) VP of the Bartlett Tree Expert Company who will review legal aspects of tre work as they apply to municipal and private property. Additional conference topics include:
- identification of plant health problems in New England, and
- strategies for reducing forest fire potential at the suburban fringe.
This conference is suitable for arborists, tree wardens, municipal managers and planners, and landscape designers and architects. It is sponsored by the University of Massachusetts Extension (Amherst), USDA Forest Service - Urban Natural Resources Institute and the Massachusetts Department of Recreation and Conservation.
