Breaking and Entering is one movie I'm looking forward to viewing! Cast with one of my favorite actors - Jude Law; in one of my favorite cities - London; and dealing with one of my favorite concerns - public landscapes. The movie genere is listed at the Internet Movie Database (IMDB)as Drama / Romance with the tag line Love is no ordinary crime. The synopsis of the plotline is A Landscape Architect's dealings with a young thief cause him to re-evaluate his life.
Well, the tagline and synopsis sound a bit lame, and some of the early reviews at the IMDB have not been sterling. And the blog writer at the The American Society of Landscape Architect's Blog "The Dirt" has found some discrepancies in what he has seen. But he says he thinks the film will still "be pretty good for landscape architects."
B & E has not been released for general viewing, but was shown on September 13, 2006 at the Toronto (Canada) Film Festival; November 9th at the Starz Denver International Film Festival; and released November 10 in the U.K. and and November 11 in Israel. We here in the U.S. can expect media commercials any time now. The film will be released in the U.S. in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York on December 8th and then at a cinema in your neighborhood. The rest of the world will wait until the New Year for the film's release.
