Saturday, April 22, is Earth Day here in the U.S., and there are a myriad of ways for you to celebrate, honor and help to heal our planet.
Perhaps the best thing, other than maintain our own garden spaces, we plantspeople can do is write our own Earth Friendly Opinion Editorials or Letters to Editors of our own local newspapers. Never done this type of activism before? There are tips at this link on writing letters and getting them published: http://www.earthday.net/resources/l2e.aspx
Also don't forget to make your Earth Friendly opinions known to your government representatives. Here are some tips, from the National Court Reporters Association, about writing letters to legislators: http://www.ncraonline.org/ppa/grassroots/roots_letters.shtml
